1 Head of cabbage
3 kaiser rolls (day-old)
¼ l milk
2 eggs
1 bunch parsley
salt
peppers
150 grams smoked Bacon
2 Tbsps vegetable oil

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse cabbage and remove outer leaves. Remove stalk with a sharp knife and scrape out cabbage slightly. Cut scraped cabbage leaves into thin strips and set aside.

2.

Warm up milk, cut bread rolls into slices and soak in milk. Rinse parsley, shake dry and pluck off leaves, chop finely. Mix eggs with well-squeezed rolls and parsley, season with salt and pepper and stuff cabbage with the mixture.

If desired, cover the opening with a large cabbage leaf and tie with kitchen twine.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook whole cabbage for 20 minutes on low heat.

5.

Dice bacon. Heat oil in a pan and saute bacon with cabbage strips until translucent. Season with salt and pepper.

6.

Arrange cabbage head on a big plate, slice and serve with Savoy bacon.
