800 grams Beef (chuck, shank, round)
2 onions
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp sweet ground paprika
½ Tbsp hot red ground paprika
2 tsps dried marjoram
1 green Bell pepper
1 red Bell pepper
1 Tomato
salt
200 grams acid Whipped cream
Sour cream (for serving)
2 tsps Pastry flour

Preparation steps

Cut the meat cut into approximately 3 cm (approximately 1 inch) cubes. Peel the onions and finely chop.

Heat the oil with the butter in a Dutch oven and sauté the onions until golden. Add the paprika and sauté briefly. Deglaze with 80 ml (approximately 1/3 cup) of water, mix in the meat cubes with the marjoram and cook over low heat, covered for about 1 hour. Allow the meat to stew in its own juice and only add a little water if necessary. Rinse the peppers, cut in half, trim and cut into strips.

Rinse or peel the tomato and dice small. Mix peppers and tomato into the stew, season with salt, cover and again and cook about 30 minutes.

Mix 200 grams (approximately 1 cup) sour cream with the flour combine with the meat and bring to a boil again. Season the stew with salt and pepper and serve with a dollop of sour cream.
