- 8 cups macaroni
- 4 Chicken breasts
- 1 handful Spinach
- 1 clove garlic cloves
- ¼ cup Dried Tomatoes (in oil)
- 4 eggs
- ⅔ cup cream
- 2 Tbsps Crème fraiche
- 1 cup grated Cheese (e. g Emmental, Gouda)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)
- Oil (for the dish)
Preparation steps
1.
Cook the macaroni in boiling, salted water until half-cooked. Refresh in cold water and drain.

Wash the chicken breasts, pat dry and cut into strips.

Wash, sort and drain the spinach.
4.
Peel and finely chop the garlic.
5.
Mix the eggs with the cream, creme fraiche, garlic and half of the cheese. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Oil a baking dish and fill with alternate layers of macaroni, chicken, spinach and dried tomatoes. Pour the egg and cream mixture over and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese. Bake in a preheated oven (180°C with top and bottom heat) for about 40 minutes, until golden brown.
7.
Serve with a green salad.
