- 2 Tbsps butter
- 2 ⅓ cups eating Apple (peeled, cored and sliced)
- 2 cups gluten-free bread (sliced)
- ¼ cup Walnut (chopped)
- 1 cup raisins
- ⅔ cup milk
- ⅔ cup cream (38% fat)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 Tbsps runny honey
- 3 egg yolks
- powdered sugar

Preparation steps
1.
Butter a 1 litre baking dish.
2.
Heat the butter in a frying pan and gently cook the apples until tender.
3.
Arrange the bread slices in the baking dish, interspersed with the apples, walnuts and raisins.

Heat the milk and cream in a pan and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat.
5.
Whisk together the cinnamon, honey and egg yolks until blended. Whisk in the hot milk. Leave to stand for 1 hour.
6.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4.
7.
Place the dish in a roasting tin. Pour in enough hot water to come halfway up the sides of the baking dish and bake for about 30minutes until golden brown. Allow to stand for 10 minutes before serving.
8.
Sift icing sugar over the top.
