- 3 carrots (peeled and cut into large chunks)
- 3 Parsnips (peeled and cut into large chunks)
- 3 small Red pepper flakes (washed; halved)
- 3 small new Potato (washed; halved)
- 2 medium Sweet potato (peeled; cut into 6 or 8 pieces)
- 3 small Beets (washed; halved)
- 1 ½ cups Chicken broth
- 2 Tbsps sugar
- salt (to taste)
- peppers (to taste)

Peeling beets after they have cooked prevents color loss.
Preparation steps
1.
Melt butter in pressure cooker over medium heat. Add vegetables and stir to evenly coat; saute for 3-4 minutes.

Add chicken broth, sugar, salt and pepper and stir once more.

Cover the pressure cooker, making sure it is securely latched. Place pressure regulator on vent pipe and cook following Manufacturer's cooking instructions for root vegetables.
