- 100 grams Barley grain
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 2 stalks Celery
- 150 grams button Mushroom
- 50 grams Bacon
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- ¾ l Beef broth
- salt
- peppers
- Nutmeg

Preparation steps
1.
Rinse the barley and drain well. Peel onion and carrot and dice finely. Rinse celery, trim and cut into pieces. Trim mushrooms and cut into slices. Cut the bacon into small cubes. Sauté mushrooms in a pan in oil until browned and remove from the pan.

Add bacon and onion and fry until golden brown, 2-3 minutes. Deglaze with the broth. Add barley and simmer for about 20 minutes. Then add celery, carrots and mushrooms to the soup, season with salt and pepper and simmer together for about 20 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and serve.
