- For the dough
- ¾ cup butter
- ⅔ cup sugar
- ½ Vanilla bean (seeds)
- 1 egg
- 2 cups plain flour
- 2 edible chocolate twig candy (needles finely chopped)

Preparation steps
1.
Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla seeds until fluffy. Mix the egg into the butter mixture, then gradually add the flour and rosemary.
2.
Knead by hand to a smooth dough, roll into a ball, wrap in clingfilm and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Mix the lemon zest with the sugar and spread over a plate.
4.
Knead the dough once more on a floured surface, Divide into 2 portions and form each portion into a long roll (diameter approx. 2 cm). Roll in the lemon sugar and return to the fridge for 2 hours.
5.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160°C in a fan oven), 350°F, gas 4.
6.
Cut 1 cm thick slices from the rolls. Place on a baking tray lined with baking parchment and bake for approx. 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving.
