Kitchen utensils
1 Measuring cups, 1 Small pot, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 gegebenenfalls Mini food processor, 1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Kitchen scale, 1 Tablespoon, 1 große Mixing bowl, 1 Hand mixer, 1 Kitchen towel, 1 Parchment paper, 1 Baking sheet, 1 Wire rack, 1 Fine grater, 1 Citrus juicer, 1 Small bowl, 1 Pastry brush, 1 Large knife oder Brotmesser
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oil in a large pan and cook the onions slowly for about 5 minutes until softened.
2.
Add the garlic, chilli and cumin and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the drained split peas and stir well.
3.
Pour in the stock and bring to a boil. Cook vigorously for about 10 minutes, skimming off the frothy scum that rises to the surface.
4.
Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 30 minutes until the peas are soft. Add the spinach and let it wilt in the pan for a few minutes.
5.
Put the soup in a blender (or use a hand blender) and blend until almost smooth, but still with flecks of green and some whole peas. Season with salt and pepper and garnish with young spinach.
