- 11 ozs dried Spaghetti
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 3 cups carpet shell clam (cleaned)
- ⅞ cup dry white wine
- parsley (chopped)
- salt
- peppers

Preparation steps
1.
Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil and cook the spaghetti for 8-10 minutes until 'al dente. '
2.
Meanwhile, heat a large saucepan over a moderate heat until hot then add the clams and the wine.
3.
Bring the wine to the boil then cover with the saucepan with a lid and reduce the heat. Cook the clams for 3-4 minutes until they've opened, discarding any that stay firmly shut.
4.
Drain the clams, reserving any cooking liquor. Drain the spaghetti and toss immediately with the olive oil.
5.
Add the clams, parsley and some of the cooking liquor from the clams. Toss well and adjust the seasoning to taste.
6.
Spoon into serving bowls and serve immediately.
