- 16 ozs ready-rolled Puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 ½ cups Gruyere (grated)
- 4 slices ham
- 4 Tbsps chopped parsley
- 1 egg (beaten)

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 200ºC (180º fan) 400ºF, gas mark 6.
2.
Scatter two thirds of the cheese along the length of the pastry and lay over the ham. Scatter over the parsley then roll up from a long side into a swiss roll shape. Seal the join with a little beaten egg.
3.
Carefully cut slices about 1cm/1/4" thick and place on a greased baking sheet. Brush with a little more beaten egg and scatter over the remaining cheese.
4.
Bake in the oven for 12 - 15 minutes or until the spirals are golden brown and well risen. Serve warm or cold.
