3 Leeks (washed)
2.333 cups Lentils
4 carrots (sliced)
6 small potatoes (peeled)
2 bay leaves
1 head garlic cloves
3 cups Sausage (sliced)
2 Tbsps olive oil
salt

Preparation steps

1.
Cut the leeks in half and separate the whites from the green part.
2.
Put the lentils in a pot, add water to cover, and then add the carrot slices, potatoes, bay leafs and garlic.
3.
Season and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and cook for 15 minutes.
4.
Cook the sausages in the oil for approx. 5-6 minutes until golden. Drain on kitchen paper and then add to the lentils along with the leek. Cook for a further 20 minutes.
5.
Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving.
