- 2 ¼ cups granary-style flour (plus extra for dusting)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp Baking powder
- ½ cup butter (diced)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 Tbsps milk
- water
- 4 Tbsps mixed Seed (sesame, pumpkin, sunflower, crushed)
- To garnish
- Pumpkin seed
- Sunflower seed
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line a large baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

Put the flour, salt, baking powder and butter in a mixing bowl and rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Add the egg and milk and mix to a stiff dough.

Roll out on a lightly floured surface about 5mm|1/4" thick and cut into squares with a sharp knife. Place on the baking tray and brush with water. Sprinkle with the crushed seeds.
5.
Bake for about 15 minutes until beginning to brown. Sprinkle with the pumpkin and sunflower seeds and place on a wire rack to cool completely.
