Preparation steps

Bring the milk, 800 ml (approximately 3.5 cups) of water, the oil and salt to a boil in a saucepan. Stir in the barley. Simmer for 20-25 minutes. Add the dried oregano. Simmer for another 5 minutes.

Season with salt. Rinse the fresh oregano, pluck the leaves and sprinkle over the soup. Serve immediately.
