Lamb Pie with Filo Pastry
Grease a baking dish with butter.
Peel the onions and garlic and chop finely.
Saute the onions nd garlic in a hot pan with 2 tablespoons oil. Add in the ground lamb and saute until crumbly. Mix in the herbs, and season with salt and pepper.
Transfer the ground lamb mixture to the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
Brush the filo dough sheets with melted butter, place one over the other, and cut lengthwise into wide strips of 10 cm (approximately 4 inches). Place the filo dough strips closely over the ground lamb mixture in the baking dish.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan: 160°C, gas mark 2-3) (approximately 350°F) for about 15 minutes. Remove and serve.
