This grape pudding is higher in sugar and fats, but because of the grapes, this dessert can still be very healthy. Grapes are high in antioxidants, beneficial plant compounds that may protect against chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.
You can make this recipe vegan by using vegan butter and almond milk or another type of plant based milk.

- ½ cup caster sugar (scant)
- ½ cup butter (scant)
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 ¼ cups self-rising flour (sifted)
- milk
- 11 ozs seedless, white Grape (halved)

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 350°F. Butter a 10" baking dish.
2.
Beat together the sugar and butter until light. Beat in the eggs until blended.
3.
Gently fold in the flour and enough milk to give a soft dropping consistency.
4.
Cover the base of the dish with a layer of halved grapes.
5.
Spoon over the cake mixture, and top with the remaining grapes.
6.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
