18 ozs carrots (scrubbed and roughly chopped)
2 tsps runny honey

1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Brush, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Non-stick pan, 1 Slotted spatula, 1 Small bowl, 1 Whisk, 1 Toaster

Preparation steps

Heat the oil in a large heavy based pan. Add the onions and fry gently for 5 minutes until softened but not browned.

Add the carrots and 900ml/4 cups of boiling water and 2tsp of honey. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until the carrots are tender.
3.
Turn off the heat. Use a stick blender in the pan to blend the mixture is semi- smooth. Or if you know your child prefers it lump-free, continue blending until the soup is really smooth.
4.
Serve at a tepid temperature, garnished with a sprinkling of breadcrumbs and dill.
