4 ripe, firm Pear (rinsed; cored and cut into 1/2-inch wedges)
1 ½ cups Gorgonzola (thinly sliced)
36 sliced, french Baguette (toasted)
fresh rosemary (rinsed and snipped)
For Praline Sauce
2 Tbsps light brown sugar
2 Tbsps Corn starch
1 cup dark corn syrup
½ cup chopped Pecan
1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Preparation steps

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Arrange pear wedges on grill grate, cover with grill lid and grill for 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until wedges are golden.

Arrange a grilled pear wedge and a slice of blue cheese on each toasted baguette slice. Drizzle with praline sauce and garnish with snipped rosemary.

In a small heavy saucepan combine the brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in the corn syrup and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and creamy. Remove pan from heat source and stir in the pecans and vanilla. Cool slightly. Drizzle over crostini. Leftover sauce should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
