- ⅓ cup Cocoa
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 1 pinch ground allspice
- ½ cup butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup Almond flour
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 Tbsp Espresso (cooled)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract

2 Pots mit Deckel, 1 Cutting board, 1 Peeler, 1 Large knife, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Paper towel, 1 Small knife, 1 Citrus juicer, 1 Sieve, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Immersion blender
Preparation steps
1.
Sift the flour, cocoa and spices into a mixing bowl. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar and ground almonds.
2.
Add the egg, coffee and vanilla and mix to a dough. Wrap in cling film and chill for 1 hour.
3.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
4.
Roll out the dough between sheets of non-stick baking paper, 1 cm|1/2" thick, and cut out stars.
5.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until firm. Sprinkle with sugar while warm.
6.
Cool on the baking trays for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
