- ¾ cup Dark chocolate (roughly chopped)
- ¼ cup soft butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsps cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 3 Tbsps milk
- ⅔ cup powdered sugar

Preparation steps

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie.

Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt until creamy. Fold in the egg and the melted chocolate and finally stir in the flour, cocoa, baking powder and the milk. The mixture should not be too fluid - if necessary adjust the amount of milk and flour. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6 and line a baking tray with grease-proof paper.

Take tiny portions of the mixture and shape into balls approx. 2 cm in diameter. Press flat slightly, dust the tops with icing sugar and place on the prepared baking tray.
5.
Bake for around 8 min so that the cakes are crispy on the outside but still soft on the inside. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
