- For the cheesecake
- 1 egg
- 1 cup full-fat cream cheese
- ¼ cup caster sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the brownies
- 4 ozs plain Dark chocolate
- ½ cup butter
- ¾ cup soft light brown sugar
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 160°C/140°C fan/325°F/ gas 3. Grease and base line a 20cm shallow square cake tin.

To make the cheesecake mixture put all the ingredients into a bowl and beat well together.

To make the brownie mixture put the chocolate and butter into a pan and heat gently together until melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar. Cool for a couple of minutes and then beat in the eggs and stir in the flour. Spread two thirds of the mixture into the base of the cake tin. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the top. Spoon the remaining brownie mixture in dollops on top and then swirl together using a skewer.

Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until just set in the centre. Leave to cool in the tin and then cut into squares.
