- ¼ cup butter (diced)
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- For the filling
- ⅓ cup butter
- ⅓ cup dark brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup plain flour
- ¼ cup Almond flour
- ½ tsp Baking powder
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ¼ cup milk
- 3 ripe Pear (peeled, cored and halved)

1 Small pot, 1 Baking sheet, 2 Bowls, 1 Small bowl, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Peeler, 1 Fine-mesh sieve, 1 Brush, 1 Kitchen shears, 1 Parchment paper, 1 Large knife, 1 Wooden spoon
Preparation steps
1.
For the base: combine all the base ingredients and work to a dough. Wrap in cling film and chill for 30 minutes.

Heat the oven to 190°C (170° fan) 375°F gas 5. Grease a 24 cm|9" springform tin.
3.
Roll out the dough to a circle on a lightly floured work surface and use to line the base of the tin.

For the filling: beat the butter and sugar until soft and light. Beat in the egg and stir in the flour, ground almonds, baking powder, cocoa powder and milk.
5.
Spread on top of the dough in the tin. Arrange the pear halves on top and press in lightly.
6.
Bake for about 45 minutes, until firm to the touch. Cover with foil after 30 minutes.
7.
Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then remove from the tin and cool completely. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
