- 1 ⅓ cups Dark chocolate (chopped)
- ¾ cup butter
- ¾ cup sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 2 tsps Baking powder
- 1 ⅔ cups Potato starch
- 1 ⅔ cups Corn starch
- 1 ½ ozs cocoa powder
- milk (as required)

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160°C in a fan oven), 350°F, gas 4 and line a baking tray with grease-proof paper.
2.
Melt the dark cooking chocolate in a bain marie and leave to cool.
3.
Mix together the butter and sugar and stir in the eggs one-by-one until a creamy mixture is created. Stir in the chocolate, almonds, baking powder, starch, cornflour and the cocoa. If necessary add some milk.
4.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking tray and bake in the middle of the oven for around 45 min. Test with a wooden stick to see if the cake is done. Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
