Ingredients
5 ozs Chocolate cake
2 Tbsps butter (softened)
0.333 cup powdered sugar
1 oz plain Dark chocolate (chopped)
7 ozs white chocolate (chopped)
paste Food coloring (pink, yellow, green)
sugar sprinkles (sugar sprinkles, chocolate vermicelli)
1 ¾ ozs plain Dark chocolate (melted)

Preparation steps

1.
Crumble the cake into fine crumbs and put in a bowl. In another bowl beat together the butter and icing (confectioners') sugar. Melt the plain chocolate in the microwave or in a bowl over a pan of hot, but not boiling water.
2.
Add the melted chocolate to the butter mixture and stir well. Add the cake crumbs and mix thoroughly using your hands until the mixture sticks together.
3.
Divide the mixture into eight and shape each one into a smooth ball. Insert a cake pop stick, place on a tray lined with baking parchment and chill for 2 hours.
4.
Melt the white chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot, but not boiling water. Once melted stir until smooth. Take a small amount of the chocolate and add colour as desired. Dip a cake pop in the chocolate and gently shake off any excess.
5.
Pour the sugar sprinkles into small bowls. Dip or roll the cake pop in the chosen topping and then push the stick into a polystyrene block and leave to set. Colour the remaining chocolate in colours of your choice and dip and decorate the remaining cake pops.
6.
For the plain dark chocolate topped cake pops leave until the coloured chocolate has set. Then either dip the top in the melted plain chocolate or drizzle the chocolate from a teaspoon over the cake pop, whilst turning it slowly around.
