Broccoli Lasagna with Ham

- 600 grams Broccoli
- salt
- 1 shallot
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 2 Tbsps Pastry flour
- 1 splash dry white wine
- 500 milliliters milk
- 2 Tbsps Crème fraiche
- 75 grams grated Cheese (such as Emmentaler)
- freshly ground peppers
- Nutmeg
- 350 grams Lasagne noodle (uncooked)
- 200 grams ham (sliced)
Preparation steps
Preheat the convection oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Rinse the broccoli, blanch in salted water, rinse in cold water and drain.
Peel the shallot and garlic, chop and sauté until translucent in hot butter. Sprinkle with flour and deglaze with the white wine. Stir vigorously with a whisk, so that no lumps form. Bring to a boil, then stir in the milk. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until creamy.
Stir in the creme fraiche and half the cheese, remove from the heat and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix the broccoli into the sauce and arrange in a baking dish in alternating layers with the noodles and ham slices. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake until golden brown, about 40 minutes. Serve portions on warmed plates.
