Berry Granita Sundae

Pour 500 ml of water into a pan. Add sugar and bring to the boil. Remove from heat, add blackcurrant syrup, mix well and pour into a wide, shallow freezer tray.
Freeze for 1 hour, scratching the top of mixture with a fork every 15 minutes.
Divide the berries between six serving bowls. Add the granita and stir carefully together. Decorate each one with a chocolate shape and serve immediately.
