- 4 shallots
- 50 grams Walnut
- 2 Tbsps Shredded coconut
- 600 grams Beef fillet
- 1 Tbsp Ghee (or clarified butter)
- ½ tsp ground Turmeric
- 1 tsp yellow Curry paste
- 200 milliliters Vegetable broth
- 125 milliliters Coconut milk
- 100 milliliters Pineapple juice
- salt
- chili peppers (for garnish)
Preparation steps

Peel shallots and finely dice. Finely grind nuts and grated coconut in a mortar. Rinse beef, pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces. Heat ghee in a saucepan, fry beef on all sides, add shallots and briefly fry. Add nut and coconut flake mixture and fry. Sprinkle with turmeric and curry paste, mix and then deglaze the saucepan with broth. Add coconut milk and pineapple juice, and fry everything together while stirring for 2-3 minutes, cover, let simmer until beef is cooked and season with salt. Serve on plates garnished with chile pepper.
