- 4 ¼ cups self-rising flour
- ⅓ cup caster sugar
- ½ cup butter (softened)
- ½ cup Chocolate chip
- ½ cup dried Cranberry (chopped)
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- ⅜ cup milk

Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/400°F/gas 7. Put the flour and sugar into a bowl. Add the butter and rub in until the mixture is crumbly. Stir in the chocolate chips and cranberries.

Add the eggs and about half the milk. Start to mix with a knife and then use your hands, adding more milk if needed to make a soft but not sticky dough. Shape the dough into a ball.

Put the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll out lightly to a thickness of 3cm. Using a small round pastry cutter stamp out rounds. Re-roll any trimmings and stamp out more scones. Place on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 10–12 minutes.
