- 125 grams butter
- 1 egg
- 250 Pastry flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 100 ground almonds
- 70 grams slivered almonds

Preparation steps

Beat the butter with the sugar, egg and salt until foamy. Stir in the flour, baking powder, spices and ground almonds. Knead well. Form the dough into a , wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours in the fridge.

Spread the sliced almonds on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Roll out the dough in portions on a floured surface about 4 mm (approximately 1/10 inch) thick. Cut out stars and place the stars on top of the sliced almonds. Press down lightly and bake in a preheated oven (200°C or approximately 400°F) for about 10-12 minutes.
