Winter Vegetable Soup
Peel turnips and root vegetables, rinse, trim and cut into bite-sized cubes or slices. Rinse leeks, trim and cut into rings.
Heat butter in a pan, sauté turnips and root vegetables, add curry and cumin and sauté briefly. Add broth and simmer covered for about 20 minutes. Then add leeks and simmer an additional 10 minutes to finish cooking. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve garnished with parsley and marjoram branches.
