400 grams Rigatoni
500 grams Tomatoes
2 onions
1 bunch Basil
1 garlic clove
salt

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse tomatoes, halve, remove seeds and ribs and cut into cubes. Peel and finely chop onions and garlic. Rinse basil, pat dry with a paper towel and finely chop.

Heat oil in a saucepan, sauté onions and garlic, then add the diced tomatoes. Add basil and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 20 minutes over medium heat. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling, salted water until al dente. Drain in a colander under cold running water.

3.

Cut remaining tomatoes into eighths and add to tomoto sause.  Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4.

Season tomato sauce to taste and mix with the noodles before serving.
