- 100 milliliters mild olive oil
- 40 grams Pine nuts
- 40 grams grated Parmesan
- Basil (for garnish)

Preparation steps

Cook the pasta according to the package directions in boiling salted water until al dente. Rinse and dry the basil. Peel the garlic, then puree in a blender with the basil, olive oil, pine nuts, and parmesan cheese. Season to taste with salt.

Drain the penne and place in a bowl. Mix in the pesto, and toss until combined. Place the pasta onto plates, garnish with fresh basil, and serve.
