1 cup caster sugar
¼ cup Golden syrup
2 tsps baking soda

Preparation steps

1.
Grease and line the base and sides of a 20 cm|8” square springform baking tin with greaseproof paper. Spray the paper with non-fat cooking spray and set it to one side.
2.
Combine the sugar and Golden Syrup in a saucepan and cook over a medium heat, without stirring, until the sugar has dissolved.
3.
Cook for a further 3 minutes and then remove the saucepan from the heat and carefully whisk in the bicarbonate of soda.
4.
Once the mixture bubbles down, pour into the prepared tin and leave the honeycomb to cool and set at room temperature.
5.
Turn out the honeycomb and cut it into portions before serving.
