- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup soft light brown sugar
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsps Whole milk
- ⅔ cup Dark Chocolate chip

Preparation steps
1.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160° fan)|350F|gas 4 and line two large baking trays with greaseproof paper.
2.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and bicarbonate of soda in a large mixing bowl.
3.
Cream together the butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate mixing bowl until pale and fluffy.
4.
Fold the dry ingredients into the creamed butter mixture until a cookie dough comes together. Stir in the milk and chocolate chips until well incorporated.
5.
Drop scant tablespoons of the dough onto the baking trays, spaced apart, and flatten slightly.
6.
Bake for 10 - 12 minutes until firm and set. Remove to a wire rack to cool before serving.
