- 1 Metal round file
- Scrap cloth

Preparation steps
1.
File the edges of the tin with file so that the edges are not sharp. Cut the fabric to the width of the can plus 2-3 cm (approximately 1 inch) for the handle. Fold the upper edge of the fabric over the top of the can and secure with glue. Secure the fabric strips with double-sided tape around the can Cut the material on the lower edge repeatedly up to the can's edge and tape the material to the bottom of the can.

Cut a colorful piece of fabric into a circle about double the diameter of the can. Fill most of the can with newspapers, then top with cotton balls. Sew or use a rubber band to secure the edges. Insert the pins into the top of the pincushion. Thread the spools on a piece of cotton ribbon and tie around the can.
