cup Dark chocolate (chopped)
1 ¾ cups marble, store-bought Cake (such as fruit cake, Madeira cake, chocolate cake etc.)
½ cup almonds (finely chopped)

Preparation steps

1.
Melt the chocolate in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water.
2.
Crumble the cake into a bowl, making sure it is fairly evenly sized crumbs.
3.
Stir in the melted chocolate a bit at a time – you may not need all of it; the mixture should be smooth and like fudge. If you use too much the mixture will be too heavy for the sticks.
4.
Roll golf-ball size pieces into balls and stick a lollipop stick into the middle of each one.
5.
Roll in the finely chopped almonds and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
