- 1 bunch scallions
- 2 red chili peppers
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 pc ginger (20 grams)
- 400 grams streaky Smoked bacon
- 200 milliliters Rice wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder
- 150 grams asian noodles (Ramen)
- soy sauce (as needed)

Preparation steps

Rinse the chile pepper, brush and half lengthwise. Rinse the scallions, trim, cut the whites into 5-6 cm (approximately 2 inches) long pieces, and cut the greens into thin rings.
Peel the garlic and ginger, and finely chop. Add 1 liter of water with the scallion whites, chile pepper, ginger and garlic to a pot and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 10 minutes.

Add the bacon, rice wine, sugar and five-spice powder to the soup and simmer for 30 minutes.
Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water and drain.
Remove the bacon from the soup and cut into small pieces. Serve the soup with the noodles and bacon pieces.
