- 400 grams onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 chili pepper
- 600 grams lamb (from the leg)
- 250 grams chickpeas (canned)
- 3 Tbsps clarified butter
- 2 Tbsps Curry powder
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp Pastry flour
- 400 milliliters lamb stock (from a jar)
- cilantro
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- salt
- freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

Peel onions and cut into strips. Peel and chop garlic. Rinse and halve chile pepper, remove seeds and ribs and dice finely. Cut meat into bite-sized pieces. Drain chickpeas in a colander.

Heat butter in a Dutch oven and brown meat, few pieces at a time, and set aside. Saute onions and garlic in the same pot. Add curry, cinnamon, chile pepper, chickpeas and meat. Dust with flour and saute briefly. Add stock and season with salt and pepper. Simmer, covered, for about 45 minutes.

Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper and serve sprinkled with cilantro.
