- For the batter
- 100 grams softened butter
- 130 grams sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 5 eggs
- 100 grams grated Dark chocolate
- 2 packets Chocolate pudding powder
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 100 grams Pastry flour
- 80 grams ground almonds
- butter (for the pan)
Whisk butter with sugar until creamy.
Whisk eggs with grated chocolate, salt, custard powder, baking soda and flour, add to butter mixture and mix until smooth. Fold in ground almonds.
Butter baking pan and spread with batter, smooth.
Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 40 minutes. Remove from the pan and invert cake carefully on a wire rack. Cool.
Arrange cake on a cake platter (if necessary, trim the bottom to let cake stand).
Prepare cake icing according to package instructions and spread on a cake. Stick with almonds decoratively and serve.
