- ⅔ cup butter
- 0.333 cup caster sugar
- 0.333 cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup Chocolate chip
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 190°C (170° fan) 375°F gas 5. Line 2 large baking trays with non-stick baking paper.

Beat the butter and sugars in a mixing bowl until soft and creamy.
3.
Add the egg and vanilla and beat well until blended.
4.
Sift in the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt and stir in with the chocolate chips.
5.
Place small heaps of the mixture onto the baking trays, spacing them apart to allow them to spread.
6.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden. Cool on the baking trays for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
