Preparation steps

Soak the kaiser roll in 125 ml (approximately ½ - ¾ cup) warm water, squeeze out and mix well with the egg and ground beef. Peel the onion and garlic, chop finely and knead into the ground beef mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Rinse the parsley, shake dry, pluck the leaves and chop. Knead the parsley and rosemary into the ground beef mixture. Divide the mixture equally and shape each portion into loaves.

Peel the potatoes and cut lengthwise into eighths. Grease a baking tray with olive oil. Place the ground beef loaves on the baking sheet and place the potatoes around it. Drizzle the juice of a lemon and oil over, and sprinkle with the rosemary sprigs. Roast in a preheated oven at 175°C (fan: 155°C, gas mark 2) (approximately 350°F) for 45 minutes. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the roast 10 minutes before end of cooking.

Cut the roast beef loaves into slices and serve with potatoes and cherry tomatoes.
