1 cup Candied cherry (halved)
2 ½ cups self-rising flour
2 tsps Baking powder
1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup caster sugar
½ tsp Almond extract
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ cup Almond flour
5 eggs

1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Small pot, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Fine-mesh sieve, 2 Bowls, 1 Immersion blender, 1 deep bowl, 1 Whisk, 1 falls vorhanden: Ice cream machine

Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a 30cm x 23cm|12" x 9" baking tin and line the base with non-stick baking paper.

Toss the cherries in 2 tablespoon of the flour until coated.
3.
Put all the ingredients, except the cherries into a mixing bowl and beat with an electric whisk for about 2 minutes, until well mixed. Gently stir in the cherries.
4.
Spread evenly in the baking tin and smooth the top. Bake for about 40 minutes, until golden and springy to the touch. Cool completely in the tin.
5.
Sift icing sugar over the top and cut into slices to serve.
