1 ½ kilograms salted ham (uncooked, available at the butcher)
2 bay leaves
4 tsps cloves
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp marjoram (dried)
1 tsp rosemary (dried)

Preparation steps

1.

Place the ham on a large piece of aluminum foil. Grind spices in a mortar and pestle. Rub ham on all sides with spices and wrap tightly with foil.

Place ham on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F), about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool in the foil. To serve, remove foil and cut into slices. Serve with wholegrain bread if desired.
