Ingredients

For the kebabs
500 grams Ground lamb
1 day-old White roll
1 onion
1 tsp butter
1 garlic clove
1 egg
1 tsp Cumin
salt
freshly ground peppers
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
Wooden skewer
For garnish
1 Romaine lettuce
4 Pita bread
1 white onion
2 Tbsps White vinegar
salt
freshly ground peppers
6 Tbsps olive oil

Preparation steps

1.

For the kebabs, soak roll in warm water. Peel onion and garlic, cut into small cubes and saute in hot butter until translucent. Squeeze roll well to drain and mix with ground beef, onion, egg, cumin and oil into a dough. Season with salt and pepper.

Use hands to elongate meat into a sausage shape and thread on wooden skewers. Cook on a hot grill for about 10 minutes. Toast pita briefly on grill as desired.

For garnish, divide lettuce into leaves. Rinse lettuce, spin dry and cut into strips. Peel onion and cut into rings. Mix oil with vinegar and season with salt and pepper.

4.

To serve,  mix lettuce and onion with vinaigrette, spread on plates and arrange skewers on top. Serve with toasted pita.
