Red and black currants alone provide far more than the daily requirement of vitamin C, and grapefruit and apple also provides nutrients such as fiber and vitamin C.
This drink is naturally tart. If you prefer it a little sweeter, simply add your favorite liquid sweetener.

- 1 Apple
- 4 ozs red Currants
- 2 ozs black Currants
- ½ Grapefruit
- ½ cup mineral water (chilled)
- Ice cubes
Preparation steps
Rinse apple, wipe dry, cut into quarters and chop coarsely, including the seeds.
Rinse the currants and drain in a sieve. Reserve 1 stem with fruit for garnish and strip the rest of the currants from the stems.
Squeeze out grapefruit juice.
Combine apple cubes and stripped currants in a juicer and extract the juice.
Pour into a tall serving glass filled with ice cubes and stir in the grapefruit juice. Top with mineral water, garnish with reserved currants and serve immediately.
