1 Tbsp honey
1 lb Strawberries
2 sprigs Basil
1 pc Parmesan
5 ozs ham

Preparation steps

1.

In a small pot, bring vinegar and honey to a boil. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the honey has dissolved. Let cool.

2.

Meanwhile, rinse strawberries in a bowl of cool water. Lift out, drain on paper towels and pat dry.

3.

Halve or quarter berries, depending on size. Place in a bowl.

4.

Rinse basil and shake dry. Slice leaves thinly.

5.

Gently fold basil into strawberries.

6.

With a vegetable peeler or cheese slicer, shave parmesan cheese into thin pieces.

7.

Divide the ham and shaved parmesan over the strawberries and drizzle with balsamic-honey syrup. Sprinkle with pepper and serve immediately.
