Strawberry sorbet is quick to make even without an ice cream machine. It is much lighter than ice cream and at the same time refreshing and fruity. Strawberries are among the fruits richest in vitamin C. 

For the strawberry sorbet you need frozen fruit. During the strawberry season, do not buy frozen packs in the supermarket, but freeze the strawberries yourself, because the aroma of fully ripe harvested local berries is simply unbeatable!

1 ½ lbs Strawberries (frozen)

Preparation steps

1.

Squeeze out the lemon juice. Combine 6 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1-1/4 cup of water and the sugar in a pot.

Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved. Let the syrup cool completely. 

3.

Combine the frozen strawberries and lemon syrup in a blender and puree.

Stir in the remaining lemon juice and pour the puree into a shallow stainless steel bowl. Freeze for at least 15 minutes. Use an ice-scream scoop to serve the sorbet.
