Zucchini contains many vitamins and is easily digestible. The wholemeal pasta also provides B vitamins and vegetable protein - a good addition to meat! Sage stimulates the intestinal function; however, you should dose the herb sparingly because babies are still sensitive.

Instead of noodles you can also cook pearl barley or prepare instant cereal groats with water.

Preparation

Preparation steps

1.

Peel zucchini and grate coarsely on a box grater.

2.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pot over low heat. Sauté the ground meat, stirring often. Add zucchini, cover and cook until meat is cooked through, about 15 minutes.

3.

Meanwhile, bring a pot filled with 750 ml (approximately 3 1/4 cups) water to a boil. Add pasta and sage leaf and cook according to package instructions.

4.

Drain the pasta in a sieve, reserving the pasta water in a bowl.

5.

If during cooking the meat mixture becomes too dry, stir in a little pasta water.

6.

Add the pasta to the meat mixture and puree with an immersion blender, adding the remaining oil and as much pasta water to make a smooth consistency. Let cool slightly and feed 1 serving immediately. Let the rest cool completely and freeze in single-serve portions.
