500 grams Spinach

125 grams butter
1 egg
125 milliliters milk
Fat (for the pan)
1 Filo dough (500 grams)
10 Tbsps milk

Preparation steps

1.

Cut the feta cheese into small pieces. Finely chop the parsley and onion. Rinse the spinach. Place the dripping wet spinach into a pan and cook over high heat. Drain and let cool. Coarsely chop the spinach. Mix the spinach, cheese, onion and parsley. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Melt the butter. Whisk the egg. Mix the milk and egg. Mix in the melted butter.

Grease a rectangular baking dish with butter or oil. Spread half of the filo dough in the pan. Brush each sheet of dough with the egg mixture. Spread the spinach on it. Cover with the remaining dough, brushing every sheet with the egg mixture.

4.

Sprinkle with the remaining egg mixture. Without preheating, bake for about 40 mintues at 200°C (approximately 400°F). Serve warm or cold.
