25 grams butter
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 red chili pepper
450 grams shrimp (ready to cook; fresh or frozen)
¼ tsp Chili powder
2 centiliters Cognac
1 Tbsp tomato puree
3 Tbsps fresh Fresh herbs (mixed, finely chopped)

1 Ciabatta (or baguette)
3 Tbsps liquid Garlic butter
4 Tbsps olive oil

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the chile pepper, cut lengthwise, remove seeds and finely chop.

Heat the butter and oil in a pan and saute the chile for about 2 - 3 minutes, then add the prawns and cook over high heat until they are reddish. Sprinkle with chile powder, add the cognac, tomato puree and herbs and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix the garlic butter with olive oil and spread on the bread slices. Toast until golden brown in a hot oven or under the broiler, watching carefully.

Serve the prawns with garlic bread and a small, fresh salad
