Preparation steps

Cut the tops off the oranges and remove the flesh.
2.
Squeeze the juice from the flesh and set aside.
3.
Make up the jello according to the directions on the pack, using half the amount of boiling water. Stir until the jello has dissolved completely, then replace almost the rest of the water needed with the orange juice. Use slightly less liquid in total to give a firmer set. Add cold water if there isn't enough juice. Stir well and pour into a square tin. Cool, then chill until set.
4.
Using a sharp knife, carve faces into the oranges.
5.
Cut the jelly into cubes and fill the oranges.
